Leaders need to think differently about job design, and HR must decide whether to build, buy, or grow those capabilities. Upskilling is central to the answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAI can only do something that already exists\u2014it\u2019s not a philosopher. That\u2019s where human beings come through,\u201d Sinha reminded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brandon added a practical lens: \u201cAs we start to realize gains from automation, the real question is how we spend that time. We\u2019re running small pilots, making sure tools really work before rolling them out org-wide.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sinha warned of hidden risks: \u201cThere was a case where ChatGPT suggested higher salaries for male names than female names. Is it safe?<\/em> HR leaders must create trust by opening the conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bloomerang\u2019s first step was simply giving permission. \u201cIn 2023, the first question we got was, <em>are we allowed to use AI?<\/em> So we started there, then created regular team syncs to share what we\u2019re learning\u2014wins, blockers, even failures,\u201d said Mencarelli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarika Lamont described a lightweight but powerful tactic: Vidyard\u2019s #ai-captain Slack channel. Transparency about why recordings are used and how long they\u2019re stored reduced resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On environmental impact:<\/strong> Sammut acknowledged the tension. \u201cIt is not an option for us to sit out. AI is core to our mission.
