This gives employees and admins a more complete view of how people work together across the organization while keeping primary reporting lines unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Use the Dotted Line Org Chart<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From your GoProfiles dashboard, open the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goprofiles.io\/#\/org\">Org Chart<\/a> or navigate to the org chart card on an employee profile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the Dotted Line icon to see that employee\u2019s dotted line relationships.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1503\" style=\"width: 300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/images.goprofiles.io\/blog\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/13165648\/Screenshot-2026-05-13-at-12.57.16%E2%80%AFPM.png\" alt=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1499\" style=\"width: 300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/images.goprofiles.io\/blog\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/13165447\/Screenshot-2026-05-13-at-12.55.04%E2%80%AFPM.png\" alt=\"\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are an admin, select the option to edit dotted line relationships.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a dotted line relationship by selecting an existing user in GoProfiles.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dotted line relationships are intended for existing users already in your organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save your changes to update the relationship view.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return to the dotted line org chart view to confirm the dotted line relationship is now reflected visually.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Your dotted line relationships are now updated in GoProfiles.&nbsp;If you need further assistance, please consult the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goprofiles.io\/help\/\">GoProfiles Help Center<\/a>&nbsp;or Chat with Us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The dotted line org chart in GoProfiles helps teams represent secondary reporting relationships that exist outside of a primary manager structure.
