What are Bravos?

Bravos are peer-to-peer recognitions in GoProfiles that let employees celebrate each other’s contributions in a quick, meaningful way.

Anyone can give a Bravo to acknowledge achievements, teamwork, helpfulness, or positive impact, adding a short message and optional points if enabled. Bravos appear on the recipient’s profile, roll up to company activity feeds and leaderboards, and can be shared to Slack and LinkedIn for broader visibility—helping teams build a culture of appreciation, connection, and recognition.

Give a Bravo

GoProfiles Dashboard
  1. From your GoProfiles dashboard, click Give a bravo in the top righthand corner.
  2. Then add a recipient, give rewards points if enabled, write your message, and choose your bravo type.
  3. Then click Review bravo to confirm the details.
  4. Then click Give bravo to give it instantly or click the clock icon to schedule the bravo for a future time and date.
Profile View

Note: You cannot give a bravo to yourself, so you won’t see this functionality on your own profile view.

  1. From your GoProfiles dashboard, use the search bar to find your colleagues profile.
  2. Once you are on their profile, find the Bravos card and click Give a bravo.
  3. Then add a recipient, give rewards points if enabled, write your message, and choose your bravo type.
  4. Then click Review bravo to confirm the details.
  5. Then click Give bravo to give it instantly or click the clock icon to schedule the bravo for a future time and date.
Slack App

Note: You can check here if the GoProfiles Slack App is already installed by an admin. It must be enabled to send Bravos via Slack.

  1. Navigate to any Slack channel or DM and type the /bravo or /givebravo command. 
  2. Press enter twice for the Give a Bravo modal to come up.
  3. Then add a recipient, write your message, and choose your bravo type.
    • Optionally, you can have GoAI decide what Bravo type to give based on your message.
  4. Lastly, click Give Bravo.

Create a Custom Bravo Type

Note: Workspace admins control this setting and it may not be available to you. Your admin can visit Workspace Settings for more information.

  1. From your GoProfiles dashboard, navigate to Bravos in the left-hand menu.
  2. Scroll to List of bravos and click Create a bravo.
  3. Then add an image, name, and description for your custom bravo.
  4. Click Create and your entire workspace can use that custom bravo type.
